These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of TTcollector, operated by CollectingIt ("TTcollector", "we", "us"), a collectibles platform for Trinidad & Tobago coins, banknotes, medals and stamps. By creating an account or signing in you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
TTcollector lets collectors catalogue their collections, track values, and buy and sell collectibles through a staff-brokered marketplace. TTcollector staff review every listing, every initial offer, and every edit to a listed item before it appears publicly. TTcollector also acts as the physical intermediary for completed sales: sold items are delivered to TTcollector for authentication before the buyer receives them.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older to buy or sell. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your password secure. Your public identity on TTcollector is your alias only — your legal name, email and phone number are never shown to other collectors. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.
3. Listings and catalogue submissions
Anything you list for sale must be genuine, owned by you, and lawfully yours to sell. Listings, item photos and later edits to listed items take effect only after TTcollector approval. We may decline or remove any listing at our discretion, including suspected counterfeits, stolen goods, or items that violate the law of Trinidad & Tobago.
4. Offers and deals
A buyer\u2019s first offer on a listing is reviewed by TTcollector before the seller sees it. Once approved, negotiation (counters, acceptance, decline) happens between buyer and seller. When a seller accepts an offer a binding deal is created and the item is committed to the sale.
5. Authentication, payment and delivery
After acceptance: (a) the item travels to a TTcollector account manager for authentication; (b) once the item passes authentication, TTcollector releases the seller\u2019s payout (bank wire or cash, less the TTcollector fee); (c) TTcollector then contacts the buyer and delivers the item. Buyers pay TTcollector by bank transfer or cash on delivery, per the preference chosen with the offer. If an item fails authentication the deal is cancelled and the item is returned to the seller.
6. Fees
The seller\u2019s fee is deducted from the sale price when the payout is released: sales of TT$20\u2013249 are free; TT$250\u2013499 \u2014 TT$50; TT$500\u2013999 \u2014 TT$100; TT$1,000 and above \u2014 TT$200 plus 5% of the sale price. Fee amounts are computed automatically and shown on the deal record.
7. Disputes
If a deal step (payment, authentication, delivery) is pending for more than 24 hours, either the buyer or the seller may raise a dispute in the app. The deal is frozen while TTcollector reviews; our resolution (resuming or closing the deal) is final within the platform. Nothing here limits your statutory rights under Trinidad & Tobago law.
8. Identity verification
Sellers may verify their identity by submitting government-issued ID and a proof of address. Verified accounts receive a verification badge. Documents are reviewed by TTcollector staff, stored securely, and never shown to other users.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: list counterfeit, stolen or misrepresented items; manipulate offers or prices; harass other collectors or staff; attempt to trade off-platform to avoid fees after connecting through TTcollector; or attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours. We may restrict listing rights or suspend accounts that break these rules, and every staff action is recorded in an audit log.
10. Content and photos
You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you upload, and you grant TTcollector a licence to display them in the app for cataloguing and marketplace purposes. Reference values, rarity and demand indicators shown in the app are estimates for guidance only \u2014 they are not valuations, investment advice or offers to buy.
11. Pro subscription
Optional Pro features (analytics, account-manager messaging, reports and more) may be offered as a paid subscription. Pricing and terms are shown at purchase. Features marked as previews may use sample data while in development.
12. Liability
TTcollector provides the platform and brokerage service with reasonable care, but the app is provided "as is" during the beta period. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to a sale is limited to the TTcollector fee charged on that sale. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays outside our reasonable control.
13. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms as the service evolves; material changes will be announced in the app, and continuing to use TTcollector after a change means you accept it. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; open deals must complete or be resolved first.
Privacy Policy
What we collect. Your email, name, phone number and password (held by our authentication provider); your collection data, photos, listings, offers, deals and messages; identity documents if you choose to verify; and basic technical logs.
How we use it. To operate the app: showing your collection to you, brokering marketplace activity, authenticating items, sending the notifications you see in the app and by email (account confirmation, password reset, deal updates). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show your real identity to other collectors \u2014 only your alias.
Where it lives. Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase \u2014 database, authentication and file storage; Cloudflare \u2014 hosting; Resend \u2014 transactional email). Access to personal data is limited by row-level security so that collectors can only read what they are entitled to see; TTcollector staff access is logged.
Your choices. You can edit your profile, control whether your collection is exhibited publicly, and request account closure or a copy of your data by messaging TTcollector in the app or emailing no-reply@ttcollector.com.
